Daniel O'Connell
Daniel O'Connell (6 de agosto de 1776 - 15 de mayo de 1847), conocido como El libertador (The Liberator), fue la figura política más importante en la Irlanda de la primera mitad del siglo XIX. Muy crítico con las ideas que implicaban una insurrección violenta de Irlanda, llegó a decir que la libertad de la isla no valía el derramamiento de una sola gota de sangre. Siempre utilizó métodos populistas y parlamentarios para conseguir el cambio.
